SMARt – Fast metal deposition welding with a mobile industrial robot
In the “SMARt” research project, an autonomously operating mobile welding robot is being realized together with the project partners Institute of Mechatronic Systems (IMES, Leibniz Universität Hannover) and Picum MT GmbH. The voraus.core serves on the one hand as middleware for the manufacturer-independent integration of the mobile robot system. At the same time, voraus.core and voraus.pioneer serve as the software basis for researching and implementing advanced real-time communication and for integrating learning processes and online path corrections for adaptive and precise process control. In this way, the project is creating a mobile welding robot that can work completely autonomously and does not require external calibration by expensive, external sensors and operating personnel.
